Precision at scale, delivered under pressure.
For the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National, LOCK5 was appointed to deliver large-scale interior fit-out works across multiple hospitality structures - bringing clarity, consistency and craftsmanship to one of the world’s most watched sporting events.
Working once again alongside GL Structures, the project focused on the manufacture, supply and installation of bespoke roof linings across a complex, multi-deck environment.
THE BRIEF
Deliver flawless internal finishes across multiple triple-deck, double-deck and single-deck hospitality structures - ensuring consistency, quality and speed across an international live event build.
All works needed to meet strict French labour regulations, fixed working hours and complex logistical constraints, with no margin for delay.
BUILT DIFFERENT
This was a project defined by scale - and control.
LOCK5 manufactured all linings in-house ahead of the build, including bespoke flat ceiling systems designed to create perfectly level, tensioned fabric finishes across multi-level structures.
On site, custom timber frameworks supported flat ceiling installations, while leg covers, stairwell linings, header boxing and solid walling systems ensured every structural element was concealed within a clean, unified finish.
With restricted working hours and evolving site conditions, daily rescheduling became essential - requiring constant coordination across trades, structures and access points.
Despite delays outside of our control, the team adapted quickly, extending the programme while maintaining quality and consistency throughout.
THE RESULT
Over 12,300 square metres of ceiling linings were installed - the equivalent of nearly two full-size football pitches - alongside hundreds of bespoke detailing elements across the site.
The finished spaces delivered crisp, seamless interiors that matched the precision of the event itself - refined, consistent and built to perform at scale.
Praised by both the PGA European Tour and project partners, the result set a benchmark for lining quality across large-format event structures.
